What is Wireless?

Dreamweaver CS3Wireless internet is like DSL or Roadrunner without all the invasive procedures needed to gain access via cables or additional phone lines. We will never dig up your yard or put off getting you connected for weeks. Wireless internet is just that - "wireless." It is transmitted through the air from one of our towers to a position that is in line of site on your property. It then is captured by what is known as CPE (client premise equipment) and brought into your SOHO, business or residential environment via a single Cat5E network cable, The Cat5E network cable is less than the diameter of a pencil and transfer data at rates greater than 100Mbps.


What is Line-of-Sight mean?

Line of sight means that you can physically see from your antenna (CPE) to one of our towers. Very often distance from the tower makes it impossible to see due to haze or other atmospheric conditions. The further from one of our towers you live, generally the easier it is to achieve Line Of Sight. The things that would inhibit LOS are trees & large buildings. Most buildings do not degrade signal enough to stop connectivity, but 1 green tree will absolutely absorb all signal.
